Katel Delia

A visual artist whose practice focuses on exploring traces of the past and their reflection in the present, with particular attention to migration contexts and the perception of space. Trained in Fine Arts, she initially pursued a career in the digital sector before returning to her artistic practice in 2015. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at cultural institutions in Malta and in group exhibitions across Malta, France, and Switzerland. She has developed immersive installations “The Last Breath” recognised through artistic awards and international festivals, including presentation at the Circulation(s) European Photography Festival in Paris. Her work has received awards and special mentions in international contemporary photography competitions. In 2024 she published her first photobook “Malta - Tunis - Marseille” with the support of international programmes dedicated to photobook publishing. Alongside her artistic practice, she conducts photography and creative workshops for diverse audiences.
