Katia Motylova-Babinska
Ukraine
A visual artist and researcher whose practice explores the loss of control and the struggle to reconcile with reality. Her work is grounded in analogue photography, the use of archives, and the book as a space for research and experimentation. Through these mediums, she develops narratives that reflect on the fragility of human experience, memory, and processes of transformation, positioning the image as a critical tool for engaging with the present. Her practice brings together conceptual research and material approaches, creating works that move between the intimate, the documentary, and the symbolic.
