Kevin Hoth

Kevin Hoth is an artist and educator based in Eldorado Springs, Colorado. He holds an MFA in Photography from the University of Washington and teaches in the Critical Media Studies program at CU Boulder. His work has been exhibited globally at venues such as the Houston Center for Photography and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Hoth explores themes such as loss and grief through fragmented and recombined photographic perspectives, using mirrors and disrupted instant films. His work challenges conventional viewpoints, creating new narratives by merging disparate spaces. Recently, he has experimented with pre-AI digital retouching tools to explore how algorithms affect identity and perception, prompting reflection on the impact of technology.
