Marc Ávila Català

Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and holding a master’s degree in Contemporary Cinema from Pompeu Fabra University, Ávila Català explores the relationship between landscape and the individual through photography, painting, and video art. His work examines the tension between human beings, territory, technology, and the environment, inviting reflection on our place in the world. He has exhibited at venues such as Fundación Unicaja, Sala Parés, Fundación Arranz-Bravo, and Les Boutographies (France), and has been published in journals such as Lluernia, Analog Magazine, and Furia Umana. His work has received recognition in competitions like Art Emergent Sabadell, Fundación Vila Casas, and the Tokyo International Photo Award. He uses visual media as a poetic and critical language that weaves together emotion, experience, and thought.
