Lexy Liangzi Xiao

Lexy is an artist and researcher originally from Beijing, China, now based in Bergen, Norway. She specializes in alternative and analogue photographic processes, textiles, and moving images, viewing photography as a form of performance and action that extends beyond the content of the image. She has developed her own alternative silver mirroring toning recipes and processes, aiming to restore the silver to the surface of silver gelatin prints and reintroduce decay into her artworks. Lexy is particularly interested in repetitive gestures, durational performance, and materiality, exploring how time, perception, and repetition can generate a unique form of visibility and aesthetic experience.
