Estefanía Montenegro (1993) is an Ecuadorian artist, philosopher, and experimental photographer based in Berlin. Her work focuses on migration, gender, identity, and human rights, drawing from her experiences living in various countries due to Ecuador's prolonged crisis. She studied Liberal Arts, Philosophy, Photography, and Cinematography at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and later earned a Master's in International Cooperation for Development from the University of La Rioja, Spain. Estefanía has led workshops on alternative photography techniques like cyanotype and lumen prints in Ecuador and Berlin. Her current project, "Partir(se)," involves cyanotype photographs on fabric, paper, and plastic, using alternative techniques as tools for personal and collective exploration of identity and belonging.
