Francesco Amorosino

Born in 1984 in Basilicata, Italy, he currently lives in Rome, where he works as a photographer, visual artist, and educator. He teaches at the "Accademia Italiana" and manages "il FotoStudio," a space where he organizes exhibitions and courses. In 2016, he won the Sony World Photography Awards in the Still Life category with "Migrant Tomatoes," a work about illegal recruitment in the fields in southern Italy. In 2024, his series "Turf Houses" was shortlisted in the Architecture category. His work explores themes such as perception of reality, mystery, the supernatural, and power structures. He combines digital and analog techniques in projects like "In Media Res," where he creates photo sculptures on marble. He has exhibited internationally and won several awards, including the Ecco Echo Award and the CFS Adams Award. Recently, he has been experimenting with artificial intelligence in his art.
