Ralph Nevins

Canada | @ralphnev

His photography is a continuous experiment with the world around him. Whether it is the preservation of a moment or extending the reach of his eyes beyond time. He has extended the scope of what would be considered normal photography by using his background in software and engineering. He has been experimenting with slitscan cameras since 2003 and has refined them to the point where creating and using a range of cameras from 60 to 240 Mpixel is simple. He has also experimented with medium and large format slitscan cameras, along with “scanback” cameras and rotational back cameras. Recently, he has been experimenting with creating/coalition of still images from high-speed, high-resolution video, and IR photography with a full-spectrum converted digital camera.
