Simone Azzoni

Simone Azzoni (Asola, 1972) is an art critic and lecturer in Contemporary Art History at IUSVE since 2012. In October 2023, he began teaching Aesthetics of Visual Arts at the SantaGiulia Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia. He has also taught at the Palladio Design Institute and the University of Verona. His career began in 1988 as an assistant to the restorer Colalucci in the Sistine Chapel. He is interested in Net Art, New Media Art, and Art Marketing. He has curated numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad and is a theatre critic for national media. He is the co-artistic director of Theatre Art Verona and founder of the Grenze - Arsenali Fotografici initiative. He has published several texts on art and theatre.
