Wendel Alves de Medeiros

Wendel Medeiros is from Brazil. He is a Professor/Artist/Researcher at the Federal Institute of Ceará (IFCE). He teaches in the Bachelor’s Program in Visual Arts (CLAV) and the Professional Master’s Program in Arts (PPGARTES). He holds a PhD in Education from the State University of Ceará (UECE) and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from IFCE. His expertise includes experimental photographic techniques such as cyanotype, anthotype, and black-and-white film development. Currently, his research focuses on experimental processes that establish a dialogue between photography, drawing, and printmaking, utilizing sunlight directly on photosensitive materials. He has participated in exhibitions and festivals such as the Concreto Urban Art Festival (2015), Manifesta Festival of Arts (2015), SESC CARIRI Cultural Exhibition (2015), CONTER Exhibition (2016), MOSTRA[2055]UFRB (2020), Forms of Life Exhibition - ANPAP (2023), Glitch Art International Online Exhibition 2023, Lives Exhibition - ANPAP (2024), and Glitch Art International Online Exhibition 2024.
