Christopher Palm
Ecuador
A photo-based artist and creative technologist living on the coast of Ecuador. His work explores the complex relationship between perceived reality, time, and the unknowable, using digital processes to question how the physical world is represented and experienced. He has exhibited internationally across four continents and is currently the Digital Director at SIY Gallery in San Francisco, where he leads a collective of artists focused on mental health awareness, translating artistic practices into digital spaces to reach new audiences and explore emerging mediums. His recent work centers on the manipulation of photogrammetry point clouds, drawing conceptual and emotional influence from a near-death experience. The digital medium allows him to disrupt conventional notions of space, materiality, and permanence. His work has been published in international publications, including the coffee-table book Abstractions on the Road in Asia. In 2003, he was honored by Epson for pioneering contributions to quad-tone printing, technology foundational to contemporary digital color photo printing.
