Daryl Tebbutt
United Kingdom
A British visual artist and educator whose practice combines experimental photography, pedagogy, and analogue processes. Trained in Fine Art with a specialization in sculptural ceramics and holding an MA in Photography, he has taught A Level Photography at WQE College since 2000. In 2011, he co-founded a community analogue photography darkroom that provides access to darkroom facilities, film processing, and workshops focused on alternative photographic processes, remaining active for nearly fifteen years. His artistic research centers on the construction of unconventional cameras made from everyday and found materials, exploring both single and multiple pinhole techniques. Through these configurations, he investigates the fragmentation of light and the layering of perspectives, producing abstract images that challenge the notion of a single viewpoint and position photography as an accumulative, material, and perceptual process.
