Eli M. Pimentel

Dominican Republic - United Kingdom

An economist and researcher whose trajectory combines work in gender focused public policy with an artistic and critical research practice. She holds an extensive academic background in Philosophy, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, and Latin American Studies, developed across institutions in Europe and the United States. After an early career in international finance, she shifted towards policy consultancy, working with organisations such as the Commonwealth and the European Commission and publishing policy papers for international development bodies. She is a member of the Policy Advisory Group of the U.K. Women’s Budget Group. Alongside this work, she is pursuing postdoctoral research on the aesthetics of feminist philosophies, closely connected to her photographic practice. She holds an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art, the Associate distinction from the Royal Photographic Society, and serves as Photobook Editor for the Women in Photography Group.
