Ergül Karagözoğlu
Türkiye
A visual artist whose practice investigates the quietness of observing through experimental approaches to the photographic apparatus and alternative printing techniques. His work explores materiality within the image-making process, driven by emotional responses to the medium of photography, and seeks to record the movement of the body and the natural world through performative chance. These methods allow subtle gestures, fleeting textures, and often overlooked elements to emerge. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in fine arts and has received several recognitions, including artist residencies and photography awards. His work has been exhibited in museums and cultural institutions and featured in specialized editorial platforms. He currently develops his artistic and professional practice within an urban context, combining research, production, and dissemination of work.
