Nic Ma
Hong Kong
A visual artist whose practice originates in photography and investigates both the ontology of the photographic medium and the contemporary cultural and political landscape of Hong Kong. Through processes of rephotography, projection, and digital reconstruction, the work operates as a conceptual framework to examine how perception, memory, and ideology intersect within photographic representation. He is currently pursuing a BA in Photography at the University of Westminster in London. His work has been presented in group exhibitions across the United Kingdom, including the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh as part of the Visual Arts Scotland Biennial, Milbank Tower in London, and London Gallery West, as well as other London-based exhibition spaces. His practice sits at the intersection of critical research, visual experimentation, and contemporary photographic discourse.
