Ryder Booth

United States

A visual artist and photographer in training whose practice focuses on the relationship between nature, people, and lived experience, approaching the image as a form of attention and care. His work grows from a deep connection to landscape and natural environments, exploring what we mean by the natural and how it permeates everyday life. Working with both analogue and digital photography, his practice centres on landscape and portraiture and has gradually shifted toward slower formats such as large format and alternative processes. In recent years, he has incorporated cyanotype and darkroom experimentation as ways to slow down the photographic act, prioritising presence, observation, and trial over visual immediacy. He is currently pursuing studies in photography and graphic design, developing a practice grounded in visual storytelling, materiality, and a thoughtful, reflective working ethic.
