Yinna Higuera

A Colombian-Ecuadorian visual artist, photographer, and researcher, born in Bogotá in 1980 and based in Ecuador, whose practice explores the relationships between image, identity, memory, and territory. Her work is grounded in personal and collective processes, integrating experimental, documentary, and collaborative methodologies. Through photography and visual research, she addresses themes such as migration, female experience, the body, the archive, and ways of inhabiting the world, developing projects that connect the intimate with the social and political. Her production is characterized by an engagement with cultural and territorial contexts, and by the use of the image as a tool for reflection, memory construction, and the activation of situated narratives.
