Chiara Bruni

Chiara Bruni, italian photographer and author born in 1987, obtained a Master's Degree in Contemporary Theater from La Sapienza University of Rome in 2015. She perceives a connection between photography and theater, creating vibrant scenarios in which characters come to life, transforming photos of her into fantastical scenes. Chiara deepened her photographic skills with the Stage Photography, Darkroom and Analogue Printing courses at Officine Fotografiche (Rome) between 2016 and 2017. Her work explores themes of identity in an intimate sphere. Influenced by dance and the practice of yoga, she places the body at the center of her creations. She uses different techniques: from analogue and digital collage to the embroidery on photographs and vintage postcards. Chiara finds inspiration from her childhood spent in a small town, now she works and lives her time in Rome.
