Imogen Hero

Imogen Hero is a Glasgow resident, having completed her postgraduate degree in Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art. As a photographic artist, her work resides at the intersection of philosophy, science, and art. Grounded in her expertise in analogue processes, her practice serves as a vehicle for exploring scientific themes that pique her curiosity, particularly in the nonhuman realm. She employs analogue photographic techniques interwoven with scientific principles and collaborates closely with scientists to provide a strong basis for her work and generate interdisciplinary conversations. Her work has been shown in a variety of artistic and scientific settings, including the Pint of Science Festival and the upcoming Edinburgh Science Festival, continuing the dialogue between the sciences and the arts.
