Isla

Isla is an audiovisual collective dedicated to experimental artistic creation with experience in developing projects in the field of visual arts. Isla develops projects in video and photography, working with artists, musicians, and other collectives. We are interested in film, experimental photography, immersive installations, and printed publications. Isla is a traveler of [No]time and currently has homes in Barcelona and Bogotá.
In the 7 years since its inception, Isla has launched the following projects: "Proyección Audiovisual Itinerante" (Itinerant Audiovisual Projection), an international photography call exhibited in multiple cities, showcasing the works of more than 50 artists in each of its editions. Recently, it launched the curatorial project CEL, Ciclo de Cine Experimental Latinoamericano (Latin American Experimental Film Cycle), which aims to promote the visibility of a wave of audiovisual creators focused on contemporary avant-garde cinema processes. Currently, Isla is conducting a photography residency in the city of BCN, where it is developing a creative process exploring different analog techniques and processes.
