Kimberly Halyburton
WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES
Kimberly is a photographer specializing in experimental, digital, analog, pinhole, and handmade emulsion photography. Her authorial work addresses environmental crisis, gender issues, human behaviour, her surroundings, and language, inviting reflection through the use of experimental techniques such as pinhole photography, chlorophyll prints, and handmade emulsions. These techniques reveal the subtle gap between the beautiful, the coarse, the natural, the naturalized, the wet, and the dry. Holding a Master's degree in Photographic Research and Creation, she also works as a Visual Arts teacher, conducting experimental photography workshops. Additionally, she is a member of the Atkins Cooperative dedicated to experimentation with handmade emulsions and alternative photographic processes.
