Kit Martin

Kit Martin is a visually curious artist who explores the interaction of time and place through photography, using natural elements like sun and tide. She works with historical and digital photographic processes, collaborating with museums and highlighting overlooked aspects of nature. Kit shares her expertise in cyanotype, argyrotype, and pinhole photography as a tutor in art studios, fostering artistic growth. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across Scotland and at international festivals like CONTACT Photo Festival and Analogue Dreams. As a member of Shutterhub, her work has been showcased globally. With a Master of Fine Arts, she collaborates on projects with the Dundee Botanic Garden and the James Hutton Institute, exploring the connection between the River Tay ecosystem and its connection to microorganisms in soil.
