Stefan Dinu

Stefan holds a degree in law studies and amassed 15 years of experience in insolvency law practice before transitioning away from the legal field. In 2007, he embarked on a journey into analogue and alternative photography, entirely self-taught in both photography and art history. Initially, Stefan began by printing his own slides on cibachrome paper, but soon delved into various historical techniques such as cyanotype, gum printing, tricolour gum printing, carbon printing, ambrotypes, and albumen printing. He also mastered traditional darkroom developing and printing methods for both black and white and colour materials. Stefan held a solo exhibition in 2009 featuring mammoth ambrotypes (40/40cm) created with a DIY camera. In recent years, his focus has been on experimenting with and combining different techniques to push the boundaries of creativity.
